Social media

With all of the websites there are to connect with your friends it makes it hard to actually see them  in person and make new friends. luckily i have found some good friends in my home town that have grown up right along side me , although in todays word i find  it hard to make new friends so much so that the term "Facebook Friends seems almost annoying since some people out ther  only believe their frienddship is official if you are freinds on facebook.

im not sure when or wherethis trend came from but if it keeps going along the world will be a very different place in not that many years in the future.

  1. This is so true. People need more face-to-face interaction and need to stop relying on social media sites to give them their social interaction. We all have so many friends on our Facebooks but are we really "friends" with them or acquaintances? The social media world is an interesting world.

  2. I have two sides to this. While I agree that people do need more face to face interaction and that most people on facebook that are facebook "friends" are indeed not actually friends. I on the other hand use it for other reasons as well. I have lots of family in many parts of the country and social media sites such as Skype and Facebook are what help me keep in contact with them. I am able to actually see my new born baby nephew as opposed to just seeing pictures of him. That is an amazing thing and something that is only possible because of social media networks like Skype.

  3. Facebook can definately be used for good reasons, however many people just seem to abuse it. i feel like the way people use it takes away from normal face to face interaction and really changes how we communicate, in my opinion a bad way. I've never had a facebook and i have alot of close friends and never had any problems, if anything I get to avoid alot of drama.
